Community Partnership Success Story
Helping a Neighbor Find Stability After Sudden Loss
Recently, a local resident experienced a sudden housing crisis after the passing of his mother. With only his disability income, he could no longer afford his rent and became homeless.
UCHRA met with him to explore affordable housing options and helped him apply for several placements. During this time, Butterfly House provided a temporary place to stay for approximately four weeks while he waited for an apartment to become available.
This week, he called to share wonderful news — he secured an affordable apartment and is moving forward with stability and hope.
This partnership between UCHRA and Butterfly House demonstrates how listening, coordinating resources, and working together can make a meaningful difference during a difficult time.
Chrysalis Housing & Restoration Foundation does not operate the housing program directly.
Butterfly House LLC operates the program at Monarch House.
Chrysalis provides fundraising, support, and community partnership development.
